A winter jaunt up the west coast on HWY 14, takes you to some of the places that make Vancouver Island the unmatched place it is. This past year, some of my favourite engagement sessions took place adventuring at many places off this highway. Beautiful wild beaches, giant rainforests to trek through, and the air is so fresh. It's one of my favourite roads to travel and explore.
On this trip, though, we were going to a music festival in Port Renfrew. It's as far west as you can go on HWY 14. I have an affinity for the town and the First Nation reserve. It's raw beauty keeps me coming back. It graciously hosts Tall Tree Music Festival, and it's winter sister, Song and Surf - and that was our destination.
We packed up the van and head out to Port. Great music, friends new and old, and a moody fog made up our weekend. Beautiful west coast!
